在論壇主持的工作裡，有一種特別的挑戰：你面對的聽眾，有時比你更懂現場的技術。
這是一場由工業技術研究院（ITRI）協助推動的國際技術交流會，六家台灣機器人與自動化指標廠商，面向海外買家進行英文技術簡報。我的角色是全場英文主持人——銜接每一場技術發表、管理時間、引導現場問答，並在 B2B 媒合時段協助活絡氛圍。
論壇主持和典禮主持，節奏非常不一樣。典禮有情緒弧線，有高潮點；論壇更像一場精心設計的對話——每個簡報都是一個獨立的世界，主持人的工作是幫助台下的人快速進入那個世界，然後在簡報結束後，流暢地拉回來，繼續前進。
這場活動的受眾是真實的海外採購方與投資人。每一個銜接語都不能空洞，每一個對技術的轉述都要精確。這不是用台詞填滿時間，而是讓時間有密度。
六家廠商，六種不同的技術語境：從跨品牌機器人調度平台、AI 驅動的自動化場景、輕量化複合材料機器人，到工業儲存與邊緣運算、智慧製造雲端服務，再到全球首款量產雙臂室內服務機器人。每一場，我都要在不失精準的前提下，讓台下的國際買家聽得進去。
台灣在機器人硬體製造與 AI 軟體整合上的實力，在這一天的論壇裡，濃縮成了六場簡報。我很榮幸能站在那個位置上，用英文把這件事說清楚。
There's a particular challenge in hosting technical forums: sometimes the audience knows more about the subject than you do.
This was an international technology exchange forum facilitated by ITRI, where six of Taiwan's leading robotics and automation companies presented in English to overseas buyers. My role was English-language MC for the full event — bridging each technical presentation, managing timing, facilitating live Q&A, and keeping energy up through the B2B matching sessions.
Forum hosting is a different rhythm from ceremony hosting. A ceremony has an emotional arc, a climax; a forum is more like a precisely designed conversation — each presentation is its own world, and the MC's job is to help the audience step into that world quickly, then smoothly pull them back out when it's over and keep moving forward.
The audience here were real overseas buyers and investors. Every transition had to carry substance, every technical restatement had to be accurate. This isn't about filling time with words — it's about making time dense with meaning.
Six companies, six distinct technical contexts: cross-brand robot fleet management, AI-driven automation scenarios, lightweight composite-material robotics, industrial storage and edge computing, smart manufacturing cloud services, and the world's first mass-produced dual-arm indoor service robot. In each case, the job was to help an international buyer's room absorb the content — without losing precision.
Taiwan's strength in robotics hardware and AI software integration was compressed into six presentations that day. I'm glad I got to be the person who helped that case land — in English.
